In Memory of Kay

Informed were we that she had passed
Her life marked by vitality
Reminders things don’t always last
But some gain immortality

With care she wrought a simple life
And with her love she showed her strength
As a friend, a mother and wife
These qualities were shown at length

With a caring man her life spent
For nothing ever did she want
Nor anything did she lament
For their love they did not flaunt

With patience two women were raised
With a dose of motherly love
With aplomb she went unfazed
As her strength she gained from above

Eyes of fire and a loving smile
Helping others to find success
Defined is this woman worthwhile
Sharing amongst them her noblesse

In her beliefs held she steadfast
As the end drew steadily near
Fearless into the night she passed
Comforted by those she held dear

What else can be said of this soul
That her long life did not display
With heartfelt thanks and love made whole
Privileged were we to know Kay
