Images remind me you I love
With every fiber decreed
Reminds me always taking care

My Love is gone and not come back
My heart is grieved for what I lack
No one to share my joys and fears
My sleepless nights reduced to tears

No one have I to sleep beside
No one to hear me as I cried
No one to aid me in the night
No one to hold me as I fight

I miss the softness of her skin
I miss the way she let me in
I miss the talks we used to have
I miss her love’s great healing salve

I miss the way she used to laugh
I miss tickling her lively calf
I miss these things and so much more
I miss meeting her at the door

Were I my life to do again
I would not cause myself to sin
I would hold things in high esteem
And realize my perfect dream

I slept upon the couch
A show of love for you

And get the slumber due

So that our union grows

A beauty to behold

As I navigate the waters
Around my solitary life
I must stop to pause and listen
To the fell anguish of my strife

I find a cause for remembrance
Among memories of the past
I hope and pray with all my strength
That these frail spectres truly last

I climb the road to my desire
The meaning of my abject life
The desire of my beating heart
This keen attention to my wife

I long to hold her in my arms
So deep into the darkest night
To comfort and give her safety
As the evening takes its flight

I hope to make a stronger bond
Than ever there has been before
My frailest hope and greatest need
For her to open wide the door

Those things we used to say

The goals we’d striven for
The marriage that we vowed

Our hopes and dreams fulfilled

Months ago you said them
Your hands upon your hips

I understand your meaning
Even though you think I don’t
I just refuse to believe
I can’t, I shan’t, I won’t

Love we had together
For years until our fall
The love that we both shared
So we could give our all

Talking on the telephone
Proposed on Waikiki
Aimed to love you dearly
And give you my heart’s key

Honeymooned in Gatlinburg
The next year Niagara Falls
Why won’t you remember?
What fear is in those halls?

What would it really take
You and I to be one?
How can we ever find
The time to make it, hon?

Some people love their drugs
Alcohol for others will do
All that I know is this
I am addicted to you!
